As we continue together on this journey through the various phases of COVID-19, many businesses are starting to get used to the new work from home model. No commute time, more sleep, improved focus and potentially higher productivity so long as you have the right technology in place and a good space to use it. Here’s a quick update on our status as well as what we’re doing to help our clients make working from home a more pleasant and maybe even more permanent way of life.

  • On-Site Support – We are providing on-site service with some extra planning and coordination time required when scheduling. We are taking the recommended precautions and adjusting as needed for the various locations we visit. We also understand that you may have your own set of protocols and we’re happy to work within those as well to ensure the safety of both your team and ours. Please be sure to mention any specific instructions with regard to your safety protocols when booking your appointment with us.
  • In-Shop Service – We are limiting the number of people at our office at a one time. As a result, any in-shop (customer drop off or pickup) should be booked in advance. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and ensure any equipment is thoroughly disinfected before handed off to you. We would also kindly request that any items dropped off at our office are also disinfected as much as possible.

Looking Forward…

We’re hearing from many of our clients that they’re enjoying the new work from home life; and with zero commute time, less overhead costs and fewer sick days, making working from home a more permanent solution is an attractive option for many businesses. It’s important though to ensure you and your team have the right tools to ensure productivity, ergonomics and a healthy work area.

We’re currently in the process of putting together a work from home kit. We’re brainstorming ideas of what to include not only from a technology standpoint but also other items like sit-stand desks, chairs, headsets, webcams and more to make your work from home life as enjoyable and efficient as possible. Got some ideas you’d like to include? Let us know.

The team here at Daxtech is also avidly exploring the growing number of solutions for working remotely. We’re testing out different webinar, presentation, conferencing and remote access services so you don’t have to. We’ll continue to post our findings right here on our blog so you can review at your convenience without having to put in the time to trial them yourself. Check out the recent review we did on Microsoft Teams which is quickly becoming the more popular choice for many businesses. As always if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to help. Thanks for checking out this post, scroll down to check out some of our past articles.
