While some may see tackling technological problems to be quite the Sisyphean challenge; with a little help these seemingly impossible odds transform into strong professional relationships, firm confidence in skill and the ability to truly help. I’m very proud to have developed a skill set that can impact people’s relationship with technology in such a positive way.

I’ve been taking computers apart and putting them back together since my early teens and have always enjoyed the challenge of troubleshooting computer issues. After completing my Information Technology diploma at VIU (Then Malaspina) I have worked in IT on 3 continents and 7 countries and encountered all kinds of tech with a variety of requirements and problems. Outside the IT realm I enjoy Traveling, Scuba Diving, Home Automation, and Lego.

I joined Daxtech IT solutions in 2020 as a Help Desk Specialist. Prior to Daxtech, I was a Junior System admin for a large construction company. I also was a manager for a small computer company. During my tenure I helped the companies needs by servicing all computers, laptops, servers and cell phones. I am a graduate of Lethbridge Community Collage, where I studied Information Technology technician. I currently live in Lethbridge with my 4 daughters. When I am not keeping busy with work or my family, you can find me in my office relaxing painting miniatures.

David - Admin

My interest in tech and numbers started at a young age so I suppose working in accounting at an IT company has been an ideal place for me. I have been working with Daxtech since the very beginning and take pride in watching it grow and change every day. Aside from work I enjoy video games, yard work, gardening, construction projects and playing guitar. Above all I love my wife of 28 years and helping my two boys navigate through life’s challenges and enjoying their accomplishments which includes working with my oldest on his house and my youngest with his hockey.

Daxter - Service

My interest in technology started when I was 5 years old, playing my first video game on a Commodore VIC20. My love for technology continued and when I reached 12 years old, I had saved enough money from delivering the Lethbridge Herald to buy my first computer, a Hewitt Rand 386. By the age of 14 I had started a part-time position at local computer shop and became the go to person for friends and family for all their technology needs.

I completed the “Computer Networking Technician” program at Lethbridge College in 2001 and received my Diploma in Network and Internet Security at CDI College in 2005. Shortly afterward I landed my first corporate IT position for a software company where in a short time I gained a tremendous amount of experience. In 2006 I moved into a position in the IT service sector and never looked back. I had found my calling.

With over 25 years of experience in the industry and a lifelong passion for problem solving, helping others and understanding how things work, I am now a proud owner of Daxtech IT Solutions and able to bring my passion and experience to our wide range of valued business clients.

Hi I’m Dustin! I enjoy traveling, sports, running, biking, camping, and various other outdoor activities. Working for Daxtech since 2012, I have had the pleasure of growing with the company over the years and getting to know clients and their networks. I moved to Vancouver in 2015 which allowed the company to expand our services to the mainland as well, while also remotely assisting Island based clients. I’ve always had a huge interest in technology, as I really enjoy learning about new IT innovations and techniques that help to make life easier and more efficient.

Gideon - Service

My interests in technology and computers started when I was 10 years old when I found a pile of broken computers in my garage and tried to fix them. Since then I have worked at computer shops diagnosing and building computers, from budget friendly options to high end gaming systems. My builds have been features at multiple conventions on Vancouver island and been commissioned by Gigabyte, Nvidia and Kingston Hyper X.

Kelly - Dispatch

Taking computer science classes, learning to code, building my own computers, and networks in my spare time, I knew tech wasn’t just a hobby for me. Working for a few industry giants and tech disruptors out of Hong Kong, New York, Washington, and London, I enjoyed a wide range of experiences. I have had the opportunity to host professional gaming tournaments/workshops, making recommendations on hardware for paramilitary/military usage, and working for a white hat cyber sec firm who helped create a new cyber fraud division within the FBI and indited 7 international criminals setting legal precedent thanks to our threat intel.

From a young age, I’ve always been interested in making things work. I remember the first time I took the TV remote apart with my dad’s eyeglass screwdrivers and frantically had to figure out how to make it work again. Later that passion for taking things apart and putting them back together lead me to computers. That love affair has been with me ever since.
